College of Southern Idaho is seeking a Criminal Justice Instructor to teach lower-division courses both online and on campus, including Introduction to Criminal Justice, Introduction to Law and Justice, Introduction to Policing, and Introduction to Corrections. The role includes supporting corequisite offerings and dual credit initiatives.

The position involves mentoring and possible direct dual credit (high school) instruction, as well as supporting the GNED 101 course.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in the subject area, or a closely related field.
• Applicants claiming equivalency must provide conclusive evidence that qualifications are at least equivalent to the required minimums.

Responsibilities

• Teach 15–16 credit hours per semester (online and face-to-face) as published in CSI catalog.
• Maintain full-time work week and office hours per college policy.
• Develop and use outcomes assessment measures.
• Participate in departmental, program, and college assessments.
• Attend classes punctually and report deviations through proper channels.
• Provide current syllabi to department chair each semester.
• Monitor student placement and progress; keep records.
• Interact with and advise students.
• Participate in faculty development and onboarding processes.
• Engage in instructional evaluation and department/committee meetings.
• Contribute to textbook adoptions and learning assistance services.
• Align program with statewide matriculation where possible.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
