Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Tallahassee seeks a Criminal Justice Information Consultant I to assist with the administration of criminal justice data and resolve operational issues. The role requires NCIC/FCIC certification and duties include research, data analysis, and ensuring security of department databases.

You will work under the CJIS Manager I, coordinating with multiple agencies and contributing to policy interpretation and procedural updates while maintaining data integrity

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the administration and resolution of operational and management problems related to criminal justice information.
• Provide research and analysis relative to state and national laws, rules and regulations impacting CJIS data.
• Meet and maintain NCIC/FCIC certification as required and maintain data security and integrity.
• Support creation and maintenance of operational procedures and QA of criminal history records.
• Analyze documentation for specialized requests and assess impact of proposed law or rules changes.
• Liaise with Office of General Counsel for direction on legal decisions.
• Track standards and workload statistics to produce performance reports.
• Monitor systems for operational concerns and coordinate with technical staff to resolve issues.
• Conduct research and analysis for special projects aligned with division goals.
• Liaise with local, state, and federal agencies and the public.
