Job summary

Montgomery College seeks a full-time criminal justice faculty member in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice, beginning January 2027 for the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate must teach in a multicultural two-year environment and engage students across diverse learning abilities.

The position involves classroom instruction, curricular development, and collaboration with industry partners; courses may be offered in various formats across campuses.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in criminal justice, criminology, law, or related discipline.
• Recent teaching experience at the post-secondary level; teaching experience at graduate student/TA/government training level considered.

Responsibilities

• Teach 30 semester hours per academic year.
• Deliver courses in multiple formats (in-person, online, HyFlex, hybrid).
• Advise students and participate in program coordination.
• Engage in student outreach and use zero-cost instructional materials (OER).
• Collaborate with department on curriculum and assessment.
