College of Lake County (CLC) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty, Criminal Justice. The instructor will develop course materials, teach courses, and assess student learning. Responsibilities include designing syllabi, aligning objectives, and providing timely feedback.

The position supports courses on campus and online, with required attendance at adjunct meetings. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Law (or equivalent) and demonstrates

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Law, or a Master’s with at least eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in a related discipline.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures, gender identities, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity.
• Experience using Zoom and comfortable teaching in a multi modality setting, with in-person and remote learners.
• Competency in technologies commonly used in college level instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the subject field.
• Develop instructional materials, course plans, syllabi, objectives, and evaluation tools.
• Assess student learning and assign grades.
• Attend adjunct meetings in Fall and Spring semesters.
• Maintain current curriculum, course outlines, and materials.
• Submit grades electronically by deadlines and provide feedback to students.
