Bluegrass Community & Technical College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Criminal Justice. The primary assignment covers Bluegrass Area Campuses on a rotating basis and may include evenings, weekends, and site-varied locations.

The position is part-time and on-site, with flexible scheduling. Candidates must meet the listed degree/experience requirements and be prepared to use Blackboard and instructional technology.

Qualifications

• Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies.

Responsibilities

• Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies.
• Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice in the particular area of instruction.
• Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on students’ attainment and progress.
• Maintains order and discipline.
• Adjunct faculty will provide instruction in Criminal Justice courses.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field

Bachelor’s degree in any field AND work experience in the field

Kentucky Law Enforcement Council instructor certification

Associate degree in Criminal Justice AND work experience in the field or certification in the field

Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice and 2+ years practitioner experience

Bachelor's degree in any substantive areas with 5+ years work experience

Experience with Blackboard and instructional technology
