Job summary

The Criminal Investigator position with Uintah County offers a full-time opportunity to support prosecutions for the Uintah County Attorney’s Office and the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office. You will handle end-to-end case management, witness interviews, exhibit preparation, crime scene processing and evidence logging, culminating in expert court testimony.

You will also supervise patrol deputies in evidence preservation, coordinate interagency operations, and execute warrants and arrests in field

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Active Utah POST Law Enforcement Officer certification.
• 4–5 years progressive law enforcement, investigations, or court-support experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end case management for criminal investigations.
• Perform witness interviews and trial exhibit preparation.
• Process crime scenes and log evidence.
• Provide expert court testimony.
• Direct patrol deputies in evidence preservation and interagency operations.
• Manage extraditions and field operations such as warrants and arrests.
