585 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY is seeking a LE Criminal Intelligence Analyst II. This full-time regular role provides analytical support to criminal investigations, homeland security, and intelligence operations by collecting, collating, evaluating, and reporting findings for decision-makers.

The position requires analysis of complex data, development of strategic products, and coordination with multiple agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, criminology, crime and intelligence analysis, sociology, or a closely-related field
• Two years of professional experience in conducting investigative case support or criminal intelligence analysis for a law enforcement agency

Responsibilities

• Analyze cell phone call detail records, cell site locations, hard drives, and other digital media for forensic examinations and investigations
• Assist in research and development of new investigative and analytical programs
• Assess information and propose information security levels to protect privacy
• Brief agency leadership on threats and response strategies
• Collect and analyze data to develop intelligence on criminal threats and trends
• Conduct background investigation related activities and document analytical actions and findings
• Disseminate intelligence products for use by law enforcement and private sector
• Inform officials on current trends and emerging threats
• Lead multi-agency information sharing initiatives
• Monitor threat environment and provide analytic support during crises
