The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of State Police, Forensic Laboratory, has a part-time vacancy for a Criminal Evidence Technician, SOC Title 19-4090 MISC LFE-PHY-SOC SC-1. This position is part-time, cannot exceed 29.5 hours per week and does not offer health insurance benefits.
Coordinate the submission, secure storage, meticulous tracking, and final disposition of physical evidence within the forensic laboratory, supporting criminal investigations. Provide expert testimony in criminal trials.
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
Education/Experience:
Equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education or experience must be in laboratory analysis, forensic methodologies, data analysis, criminal investigations, biological sciences, chemistry, computer science, forensic science, criminal justice or a related field.
Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
Must pass a comprehensive background check in addition to a fingerprint-based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.
