Job summary

Maryland Judiciary in Prince George's County Court is seeking a Judiciary Clerk in the Criminal division to process and maintain court files for criminal cases. The role involves entering data into the Odyssey system, processing documents, and assisting the public, attorneys, and judges with case status and procedures.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of relevant work experience; Bachelor’s or paralegal substitutions are acceptable.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma (or GED equivalent).
• Experience: 1 year in court operations or related fields; Bachelor’s degree may substitute.
• Paralegal/Associates degree or 60 college credits may substitute.
• Paralegal Certificate may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain criminal case files; enter data in Odyssey.
• Answer inquiries from the public, attorneys, judges; manage calendar.
• Prepare and process summons, writs, and bonds; forward documents to appropriate agencies.
• Print dockets, pull cases for trials, deliver and retrieve case files.
