Job summary

The Seattle Police Department is seeking an Identification Data Specialist to analyze and process SPD criminal bookings, transfer records to state and federal agencies, and verify charges across courts. You will review documents, identify errors, and ensure data integrity in public records.

Responsibilities include data entry, audits of charges, quality control, and providing technical information to internal and external customers while working on site or in a hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

• Two years of office clerical support experience or equivalent.
• Ability to exercise good judgment, organize workload, problem solve, and provide good customer service.
• Ability to work independently and adjust priorities on short notice.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience answering multi-line phones and using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to criminal justice and other authorized agents.
• Review document information to verify accuracy.
• Identify problems in documents and solve issues by research via databases, paper documents, or calls.
• Enter data and transmit Live Scan bookings to state and federal agencies.
• Verify information for public records and distribute booking sheets.
• Audit open investigation charges and ensure proper disposition data.
• Maintain filing systems and perform quality control on records.
• Provide technical information to internal and external customers.
• Handle requests for mug photographs.
