The department operates under University-wide Police Policies and Administrative Procedures. It utilizes advanced law enforcement tools, relational databases, and local, state, and federal intelligence networks (such as NCIC, CLETS, JDIC, and NIBRS) to support its operations. Through collaborative divisions, including Investigations, Patrol, and Crime Analysis, UCPD integrates data-driven intelligence and community outreach to optimize patrol deployment, enhance crime prevention strategies, and ensure a safe campus environment.
