Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs daily focused and systematic studies and reviews of crime data to assist in criminal apprehension and prevention.
• Evaluates criminal intelligence to predict capabilities and vulnerabilities of groups.
• Monitors the levels and patterns of incidents and tabulates crimes by area/time.
• Develops forecasts or predictive analysis on crime trends and patterns.
• Prepares reports including area analysis, incident summaries, suspect work-ups and forecasts.
• Provides analysis-based recommendations to police administrators to optimize resources.
• Uses GIS and visual aids to describe findings and presents them at meetings.
• Responds to administrative research requests from City officials and departments.
• Maintains the Crime Analysis Intranet site for internal and external communication.
• Serves as lead analyst for major projects.
