City of Maypearl seeks a Crime Data Analyst to read, interpret and summarize crime data, study patterns and prepare reports and charts to aid analysis and forecasting and to assist in determining police coverage needs.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, some college, two years of experience, and strong MS Office skills; CJIS background check will be required.

• Must have thorough knowledge of MS Office products.
• Access to CJIS requires that a thorough background check be conducted.
• Candidates must not have any criminal conviction above Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may be considered.

Duties include reading, interpreting and summarizing crime data; studying data and linking common factors to identify patterns
and anomalies; preparing charts, graphs, maps and other reports for use in comparison, analysis and forecasting; and
providing assistance in determining police coverage needs. Duties also include conducting background research on possible
suspects, addresses and vehicles; and responding to requests for information from law enforcement personnel.
PAY GRADE GG19 / FULL PAY RANGE $28.05 - $39.55 PER HOUR ($58,344 - $82,272 ANNUALLY)

A high school diploma or equivalent, plus some college or specialized training in a related field, and two years of relevant experience are required. Must have thorough knowledge of MS Office products. Duties involve access to sensitive Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS), which requires that a thorough background check be conducted. Candidates will be subject to a criminal history check. Must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B
misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered.
