Job summary

Hatcher Landscape Partners is seeking a Crew Member, Construction to join our outdoor installation team in Olive Branch, MS. You will work hands-on with plants, irrigation, lighting, and hardscape features to deliver high-quality outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include loading materials, operating tractors and hand tools, and following Foreman directions to meet project requirements. Training is provided; safety and teamwork are emphasized in daily operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Prior landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience helpful but not required.
  • Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Install plants, landscape lighting, hardscape features, and irrigation systems.
  • Load and unload plants and trees, grade and prepare topsoil, stone, mulch, and other landscape materials.
  • Install pavers, walkways, steps, retaining walls, and block walls.
  • Operate power equipment such as tractors, chainsaws, sod cutters, bobcats, etc.
  • Operate tools including rakes, shovels, saws, axes, and shears.
  • Follow direction of Foreman and Landscape Supervisors to satisfy job requirements.
  • Maintain safety by always using personal protective equipment.
  • Work carefully on projects to provide the best quality to customers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Crew Member, Construction, you will play a hands-on role in bringing landscape designs to life. This position involves working with a variety of plants, hardscape materials, and irrigation systems to create high-quality outdoor environments. You will operate both hand tools and power equipment, follow direction from Foremen and Supervisors, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of craftsmanship. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more with assistance
  • Climb ladders or similar structures and work at varying heights as needed
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, humidity, and direct sunlight
  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, coordination, and sustained physical effort

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment includes exposure to moderate to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and outdoor environmental conditions.
