Job summary

Wallace Chicken is looking for energetic Team Members to join our fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare, cook, and assemble our signature meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

You’ll operate the POS system, manage inventory, and collaborate with the team to ensure quick, accurate service during peak hours. Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual, and able to stand for long periods, with basic math skills and a team-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Prior quick service restaurant experience a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move freely around the kitchen.
• Stand, bend and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Basic math skills for making change, measuring ingredients, counting inventory.
• Able to read and follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Reliable and punctual with strong time management habits.
• Clear verbal communication and a positive, respectful attitude.
• Able to work in a team and receive constructive feedback.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and assemble food items to Wallace Chicken standards.
• Operate and troubleshoot the POS system, ensure accurate order entry, and monitor cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across all kitchen stations (prep, breading, fryer, assembly, etc.).
• Safely operate kitchen equipment including fryers, slicers, grills, and warmers.
• Stock, rotate, and manage inventory to ensure fresh, ready-to-serve food.
• Follow all food safety procedures and hygiene standards at all times.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks and closing/opening checklists.
• Communicate with team members to ensure efficient service and smooth handoffs.
• Adapt quickly to changing needs, customer orders, and rush periods.
• Uphold all company rules, including dress code, safety standards, and behavior expectations.
