Job summary

Five Guys in New York is seeking Crew Members to perform essential duties across grill, cashier, prep and dining areas. You will help ensure an excellent customer experience while working in a lively, fast-paced setting.

The team values reliability and clear communication, with shifts covering days, nights, weekends and holidays. Training will be provided, and opportunities for advancement exist within the restaurant.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age preferred but not required.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift 50+ pounds for up to 8 hours.
• Fast-paced kitchen environment experience or aptitude.
• Tolerance to temperature fluctuations.
• Read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Communicate clearly and effectively.
• Use a basic computer system (e.g. cash register).
• Vision requirements: close, distance and peripheral vision.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule.
• Adhere to company, city, state and federal policies.
• Fast casual/fast food experience preferred but not required.

Crew Members

perform essential duties in many different areas within the restaurant, including the cash register area, grill, dressing station, fry station, lobby and morning prep area, and provide friendly, fast and accurate service in order to ensure an excellent customer experience.

Schedule:

• Available to work days and nights
• Available to work weekends and holidays
• Available to work a variable schedule, as per the needs of the business

Qualifications:

• 18+ years of age preferred but not required
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift 50+ pounds for the duration of your shift (up to 8 hours with scheduled breaks)
• Function in a fast-paced and noisy kitchen environment
• Tolerance to temperature fluctuations
• Work with hazardous substances such as hot oil
• Read, write, speak, and understand basic English
• Communicate clearly
• Use a basic computer system (ex. cash register)
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Available to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
• Adhere to Company’s policies and procedures, as well as City, State, and Federal laws and mandates
• Fast casual/ fast food experience (preferred but not required)
