Job summary

Five Guys in New York is seeking Crew Members to perform essential duties across the restaurant including the cash register area, grill, dressing and fry stations, lobby and morning prep. You will deliver friendly, fast, and accurate service to ensure a great customer experience.

Available to work days and nights, including weekends and holidays, with a variable schedule. Must be 18+ and able to stand, lift 50+ pounds, and read, write, and understand basic English.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and lift 50+ pounds for up to 8 hours with breaks.
• Read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Communicate clearly and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in multiple restaurant areas (cash register, grill, dressing, fry, lobby, prep) to provide friendly, fast, accurate service.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety across stations and dining area.
• Support team during high-volume periods and ensure a great customer experience.

Crew Members

perform essential duties in many different areas within the restaurant, including the cash register area, grill, dressing station, fry station, lobby and morning prep area, and provide friendly, fast and accurate service in order to ensure an excellent customer experience.

Schedule:

• Available to work days and nights
• Available to work weekends and holidays
• Available to work a variable schedule, as per the needs of the business

Qualifications:

• 18+ years of age preferred but not required
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift 50+ pounds for the duration of your shift (up to 8 hours with scheduled breaks)
• Function in a fast-paced and noisy kitchen environment
• Tolerance to temperature fluctuations
• Work with hazardous substances such as hot oil
• Read, write, speak, and understand basic English
• Communicate clearly
• Use a basic computer system (ex. cash register)
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Available to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
• Adhere to Company’s policies and procedures, as well as City, State, and Federal laws and mandates
• Fast casual/ fast food experience (preferred but not required)
