A Shift Leader supports the management team in running the location, including but not limited to:

  • Coaching staff to deliver excellent customer service;
  • Producing high-quality food;
  • Delivering the Jersey Mike's experience;
  • Cash handling;
  • Following the Learning Management System Training Program;
  • Developing others for career growth;
  • Enforcing policies and procedures;
  • Participating in marketing initiatives;
  • Building sales;
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation;
  • Being certified in all four restaurant positions;
  • Communicating effectively;
  • Having a sense of urgency;

Expectations for a Shift Leader include:

  • Moving or transporting up to 50 lbs unless medically exempted;
  • Working 38-40 hours per week;
  • Having reliable transportation;
  • Communicating issues to management;
  • Leading by example in quality, interaction, and appearance.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Creating high-quality food according to standards;
  • Maintaining a clean restaurant environment;
  • Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting;
  • Multitasking with a sense of urgency;
  • Providing exceptional customer interface;
  • Understanding accountability and integrity;
  • Key Holder duties;
  • Performing opening and closing tasks;
  • Baking bread and prep work;
  • Managing and leading a crew of 2-5 people;
  • Proficient slicing skills.

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Preferred 1 year QSR experience;
  • Must be 18+ to operate slicer;
  • Serve Safe Food Handler Certification;
  • Reliable transportation.
