Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a driver/operations support role to orient new drivers and coordinate vehicle movements across sites. The role requires strong safety awareness and the ability to manage scheduling and staffing with supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years' related experience, or 5 years' related experience with alternative education.
• Safe driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their job duties and assist supervisor in assigning and directing the work of employees.
• Communicate with supervisor or manager to assure proper flow of vehicles and maintain log of stock numbers for each vehicle moved and its lot location.
• Communicate schedules and assignments to the crew members.
• Manage vans and transport drivers to locations and ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles.
• Shuttle employees to and from parking lots on sale days and transport inventoried vehicles to remote sites.
• Pick-up and drop-off employees and other Auction personnel to/from the Auction, parking lots and client locations.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance and routine checks, refuel and service as needed.
• Demonstrate safety commitment and work with Market Safety Manager on safety activities.
• Review work volumes with manager and monitor staffing levels for efficiency and quality customer service.
• Lead the team at the location by setting an example and upholding Cox/Manheim values.
• Enforce all company policies related to conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
