What you'll do as a Crew Foreman at Lewis:

• Lead a tight-knit crew, creating and promoting a positive team environment
• Interpret tree trimming, removal and spraying orders initiated by General Foreman or representative of the customer
• Plan and layout daily work for your crew, considering time, equipment, weather, permissions, etc.
• Perform Pre-Job Hazard Surveys and assign tasks based on crew members' skills and knowledge
• Perform line clearing and tree trimming duties, including pruning, removal, and debris cleanup
• Climb trees and operate bucket trucks for trimming and removals near power lines
• Prepare, operate, and maintain tools and equipment
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards
• Enforce safety practices on-site

What you'll need:

• Two or more years of experience as a Trimmer/Climber working around utility lines
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of trees and arboriculture techniques
• Experience in tree climbing, knot tying, PPE usage
• Understanding of electrical line drawings and symbols
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs and operate two-handed equipment
• Valid driver's license, CDL, or medical certificate as required
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications
• Pass pre-employment drug and skills tests
