Job summary

Taylor Farms is seeking a Crew Leader for the 3rd shift to oversee production lines in the Staging department. You will lead a crew, ensure safety, coordinate breaks, and uphold GMP and HACCP policies in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication, basic math, and computer skills (Excel/MS Word) are required. Bilingual candidates are a plus and active Taylor Farms employees or in rollover may apply.

• The crew leaders manage their lines and the employees on that line, ensuring breaks are taken on time.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.
• Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other coworkers in a fast-paced environment.
• Moving on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.
• Oversee new worker training and ongoing training for all members of the crew.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Must have good communication skills with some crew leader experience

• The crew leaders manage their lines and the employees on that line, ensuring breaks are taken on time.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.

• Moving on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Typically bends, lifts, carries, reaches/extends arms and hands above shoulder height occasionally, or moves in a constantly changing environment.
• Oversee new worker training and ongoing training for all members of the crew
• Must be an active Taylor Farms employee or in the rollover process
• Must adhere to all HACCP and Food Safety policies, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
• Must comply with all policies regarding Employee Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to carrying out the duties of this position.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work doing physical work in cold temperatures, occasionally on wet floors. Moving and pushing empty and loaded pallets with a pallet jack.
• Perform other duties as needed or directed by the supervisor or manager.
