Job Description:
PUBLIC WORKS: Performs supervisory and semi-skilled manual work involving the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, roadways, drainage and sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and gutters. Employees assigned to this classification supervise crews of workers that perform unskilled and semi-skilled work involving above-average physical effort and operation of power tools and equipment requiring some manipulative skills. Work is performed under moderate supervision and reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation, meetings, and work review.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years maintenance experience in assigned area, one of which must have been in a lead or supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Florida Restricted Pesticide License, Florida Driver's License or CDL License (B/C), Wastewater Collection Technician Certificate, and home/cell phone number may be required, depending on assignment.
