Job summary

DCCM in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Crew Chief to lead our field survey team. You will travel to sites, perform quality checks, assist in fieldwork, and manage survey data and documentation.

The role requires 2+ years of survey experience, proficiency with TXDOT standards, strong communication, and the ability to supervise staff and coordinate with project managers. You will operate Leica GPS and Robotic Total Stations and ensure safety on all projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of survey experience including land boundary and topographic surveying.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient with TXDOT Standards/Code lists and other survey requirements.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Company’s field survey team in the field and supervises additional staff members assisting in survey assignments.
• Performs ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Route Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking and Transportation projects for both public and private clients.
• Performs complex surveying calculations using engineering calculator, laptop computer, and coordinate geometry software.
• Adheres to QA/QC procedures and notetaking.
• Follows work orders from project managers.
• Proficiency with Leica GPS and Robotic Total Stations.
• Drives Company vehicle to and from worksites.
• Reviews and follows project scope, keeping all project information and electronic files well organized.
• Completes all assigned tasks in a timely fashion, be diligent in field procedures and always maintain company standards.

Our Survey team has a need for a Crew Chief to join their team. In this role you will travel to survey sites and perform quality checks, basic engineering design duties, data processing, and analysis while assisting in the performance of field work and serve as the Survey Crew Chief.

• Leads the Company’s field survey team in the field and supervises additional staff members assisting in survey assignments.
• Performs the following types of surveys: ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Route Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking and Transportation projects for both public and private clients.
