Job summary

Archaeological Consultants, Inc. (ACI) in Sarasota, FL is seeking an experienced crew chief to lead Phase I and II surveys across Florida and the southeast. This full-time role involves fieldwork, overnight travel, and coordinating with the Senior Archaeologist and Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree given additional consideration.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for 3+ years with a clean record and access to reliable transportation.
• Be able to pass security clearance and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews on Phase I and II surveys.
• Coordinate field activities and supervise crews of two for safety.
• Prepare project and site summaries and reports.
• Work under supervision of the Senior Archaeologist and Project Manager.
• Travel overnight as required for fieldwork.
