Job summary

Henderson Group in Wisconsin seeks a Design Engineer to design and redesign components of large agricultural equipment, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will focus on Creo-based development of feed mixers for livestock and work with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and safety.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering and 1+ year of relevant design experience.

Qualifications

BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering required.
1+ year of experience designing agricultural or heavy equipment; internship counts.
Proficiency in Creo 3D CAD; knowledge of metal fabrication, machining and welding is helpful.

Responsibilities

Focus on designing or redesigning feed mixers for livestock using Creo.
Develop and evaluate product designs based on customer needs, manufacturability, cost and safety.
Develop design specifications with product management, sales, manufacturing and customers for projects assigned.
Develop test plans and direct testing of the design with test personnel.
Set product quality and tolerance specifications for designs.
Design and/or select hydraulic, power transmission and structural components.
Work with manufacturing to develop tooling and new processes.
Build knowledge of company products by attending trade shows and monitoring competitors.
