Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer to focus on designing and redesigning large agricultural equipment, specifically feed mixers, using Creo.

You will collaborate with product management, sales, manufacturing, and customers to develop robust designs that meet cost, safety, and manufacturability targets. The role requires a BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering and 1+ year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1+ year of experience designing agricultural or heavy mobile equipment.
• Good 3D CAD skills; Creo is used.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining and welding helpful.
• A farm background would be wonderful.

Responsibilities

• Focus on project-based designing or redesigning feed mixers for livestock using Creo.
• Develop and evaluate product designs based on customer needs, manufacturability, cost, and safety.
• Develop design specifications with product management, sales, manufacturing, and customers.
• Develop test plans and direct testing of the design with test personnel.
• Set product quality and tolerance specifications for designs.
• Design and/or select hydraulic, power transmission, and structural components.
• Work with manufacturing to develop tooling and new processes.
• Develop knowledge of company products by attending trade shows and monitoring competitors.
• Keep abreast of new products, technologies, and competitive equipment.
