Job summary

Foundation Partners Group seeks a Crematory Operator in Saint Petersburg, FL. You will ensure remains are received, processed, and returned to families, and may assist with transport from facilities to the funeral home. Responsibilities include maintaining the crematorium and equipment, confirming documentation, and safely delivering cremated remains to the appropriate party. Certification is preferred.

Job description

As a Crematory Operator, you will be responsible for seeing that the remains are correctly received, processed, and returned to the family. You may also assist with transporting the deceased from nursing homes, hospitals, residences, or coroner's offices to the funeral home. As funeral home representatives, you must maintain composure in challenging situations with compassion and kindness. You must be at least 21 years old, able to safely lift 100 lbs, and have a valid state-issued driver's license and a clean driving record.

What You Will Do

• Compassion & Empathy: Care for the deceased respectfully while performing all the tasks involved in the cremation process
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and adjacent facilities
• Meticulous Attention: Receive remains and ensure all documentation is complete and visual identification of the deceased is complete and accurate
• Critical Thinking: Receive instructions for multiple tasks, determine the ideal order for the tasks, and complete them promptly
• Safety Conscious: Promotes a safe work environment by being aware of and practicing universal precautions and adopting general principles of safe conduct
• Professional Delivery: Delivers and releases cremated remains to the appropriate funeral home or family member

What We Require
