Interface, Inc. seeks a Creel MT Operator at our Georgia manufacturing site to maintain the Creel MT unit, set up winders, and ensure accurate yarn placement. The role includes entering style specifications and assisting as Yarn Prep Operator when needed, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring basic math skills, familiarity with MES/AS400 and CMT systems, and strong communication. Prior textile experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Set up and change over winders, ensuring accurate yarn placement.
  • Enter style specifications into the computer and document production data.
  • Fill in as Yarn Prep Operator when needed.
  • Verify cases assigned to orders and ensure correct yarn color.
  • Label repack yarn by type, color number and cone count.
  • Maintain production paperwork and data entry for MES/AS400 and related systems.

Building on more than 30 years of sustainability progress and industry‑first innovation, we remain ‘all in’ on our goal of becoming carbon negative by 2040, without the use of offsets.Position summary:The Creel MT Operator is responsible for maintaining the Creel MT unit: setting up and changing over the winders, ensuring accurate yarn placement, entering style specifications into the computer, and moving portable creels into and out of the unit. The CMT operator will also be required to fill in as a Yarn Prep Operator in winding as needed.Educational requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredSkills and experience:Basic mathematical concepts including fractions, decimals, and percentage preferred.Microsoft Office Experience PreferredPrevious Textile Experience Preferred.Good communication skills, verbal and written.Essential duties:Verify cases assigned to order when delivered by material handlersEnsure correct yarn color using QA approved yarn masterEnter order information into CMT system.Continuously prep yarn on winder creels to be processedCorrectly label each box of repack yarn by type, color number, and number of conesMaintain required production paperwork and data entry for MESr & AS/400 systemsFollow proper procedures for rethreading machine to produce cones of consistent quality and reducing machine downtime.Audit loaded creels using creel thread up maps for accuracyRecycle all scraps and other recyclable materials and minimize waste.Stage PC into and out of creel loading areaDeposit all yarn scraps into specific containers to be recycledMaintain housekeepingComply with safety rulesComply with environmental regulationsBe aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Ensure ISO procedures are followed.Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.Perform other duties as assignedPhysical demands:Lifting up to 50 lbsMust be able to lift 10 lbs overhead continuously.Standing throughout 8–12-hour shiftWork environment:Non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment#LI-AS1#LI-OnsiteLearn more about Interface (NASDAQ: TILE) and our brands at interface.com and FLOR.com.
