Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Beam Tufting Creeler Operator-3 at our Dalton, GA plant to maintain a constant yarn supply to the creel and assist the operator during shifts. You will load yarn, manage creel condition, and support backing changes to ensure efficient tufting operations.

The role requires good hand–eye coordination, attention to lot numbers and colors, and basic math. This position is full-time with a single 8-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to recognize letters and numbers to identify yarn lots.
• Must be able to distinguish colors.
• Must have adequate depth perception.
• Must be able to read, write, and have some basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Check lot numbers to ensure the correct lot is running.
• Hang and splice yarn in creel (spotting, doubling, cutting back).
• Remove exhausted tubes and place caps on running packages.
• Maintain yarn level and cleanliness of the creel through the shift.
• Prepare boxes and tubes for removal; load yarn into the creel.
• Load yarn and operate the tufting machine as needed (cut pile, thread-ups, pair machines).
• Assist/relieve operator; back changes as required.
• Identify non-conforming greige goods and yarn; report maintenance needs.

Assist and/or relieve operator as needed and at break times.
