Job summary

Champions First Credit Union is seeking an Accounting Assistant to perform clerical accounting operations and support the accounting function. You will balance vaults, process ACH/Share Draft reports, and prepare return files while maintaining general ledgers and assisting team members.

The role requires accuracy with figures, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to operate standard office equipment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school education plus accounting coursework is required.
• A minimum of one year of accounting or related field experience may substitute for coursework.
• Intermediate mathematical skills required (decimals, percentages, fractions).

Responsibilities

• Review and balance vaults, teller totals and branch totals daily.
• Process ACH, Share Draft, and MoneyGram-related reports and returns.
• Record all incoming wires promptly.
• Post corporate and federal banking transactions throughout the month.
• Create reports for the Board of Directors.
