Job summary

Forward Financing is seeking a Credit Specialist on the Credit Advisory team within Underwriting in Boston, MA. You will serve as the human in the loop to ensure credit model accuracy, data integrity, and proper risk rule enforcement for automated decisioning.

You will validate owner, business, and cash flow data, manage pre-decision fraud controls, and recommend stipulations before final model review. A collaborative, data-driven mindset is essential.

As a Credit Specialist on the Credit Advisory team within the Underwriting department, you will serve as the central control function for our automated decisioning model. You will be the essential "human in the loop" that ensures credit model accuracy, guarantees data integrity, and enforces risk rules to drive profitable growth.

In this role you will:

Validate Data Integrity: Manually assess the accuracy of owner, business, and cash flow data for customer applications.

Manage Risk & Fraud Rules: Execute pre-decision fraud controls, actioning automated risk flags and managing the escalation pipeline to the Fraud Operations team.

Underwriting Stipulations: Recommend appropriate stipulations to be added to deals prior to the final model review.

Demonstrate Strategic Thinking: Provide ideas and recommendations to improve operational processes and risk assessment criteria.
