Job summary

Forward Financing, a fintech company based in Boston, MA, seeks a Senior Sales Operations Analyst to drive analytics, forecasting, and revenue growth across the Sales organization. You will build Tableau and Salesforce dashboards, partner with Sales leadership, and optimize the pipeline while collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Technology, and Analytics.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in sales analysis, sales operations, consulting, finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, nested IF statements, index match, etc.), PowerPoint, and other related tools.
  • Proficient with common analytics tools and BI tools such as Tableau (Tableau Certification and SQL experience preferred).
  • Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g. Gemini, Claude) within Sales Operations, or a strong eagerness to learn and adopt emerging AI technologies.
  • Proficient with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Experience evaluating unique problems, collaboratively creating solutions, drafting project plans, and delivering effective new business processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build long-lasting relationships across the organization.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and an ability to successfully shift priorities in a fast-paced environment to optimize revenue.
  • Nice to have: Proficient with a lead distribution system (e.g. LeanData) and / or a communication platform (e.g. Genesys).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Performance and Share Insights with Senior Leadership: Analyze and communicate larger sales performance trends, strategic insights, and forecasts to leadership, managers, and other stakeholders on a monthly basis to drive the overall success of the Sales Department.
  • Act as a Strategic Partner: Join weekly meetings and partner directly with Sales leaders to understand their focus areas and get embedded in the team.
  • Build Comprehensive Tableau and Salesforce Dashboards: In partnership with Sales Leadership and Analytics, build comprehensive dashboards that deliver actionable insights and drive business impact.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally to Drive Profitability: Be the bridge between the Sales Department and other functions in the business to effectively collaborate on key initiatives that drive the business forward, including Underwriting, Finance, Marketing, Technology, Analytics, and the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Manage and Optimize the Sales Pipeline: Analyze the health and progression of the sales pipeline, identify bottlenecks, and ensure effective lead management. Evaluate the performance of various sales channels and partnerships to recommend optimization strategies.
  • Perform Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform in-depth sales analysis and leverage findings to optimize sales effectiveness, productivity, and overall business performance.
  • Champion Sales Tech Innovation: Identify, test, and implement new technologies—including AI-driven solutions to streamline processes, enhance forecasting, and boost overall sales productivity.
  • Support Test and Learn Initiatives: Support sales pilot programs (e.g., new sales strategies, tools, incentive plans) from a testing and data perspective to draw data-backed conclusions on their effectiveness.
  • Administer Compensation and Awards Plans: Update President’s Club Leaderboard; compile and submit monthly incentives and sales contest compensation.
  • Administer CRM Systems: Update Salesforce as needed to support the Sales team.

As the Senior Sales Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for analytics and reporting used to drive the success of our Sales Department. In this role, you will investigate and implement opportunities for increased sales efficiency and revenue growth, working closely with department leadership and other functions in the business, including Technology, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, and the Executive Leadership Team.

In this role you will:

Compensation:

Annual Targeted Salary: $114,000 – $144,000 USD

Annual Target Bonus: 10%
