Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. based in New York is seeking a Managing Director or Principal to lead the credit secondaries strategy. You will source, analyze and execute investments across private credit, manage LP portfolios, and fundraise with investors.

This role offers a path to build the credit vertical within Strategic Partners. You will oversee deal processes, negotiate transactions, prepare investment memoranda and communicate performance to investors.

Qualifications

• Proven management skills and capable of leading/managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Strong communication skills and excellent written communication.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a lean, growing team.
• 10+ years of private credit experience.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing a team, managing all aspects of the deal process, due diligence and closing.
• Negotiating and structuring transactions effectively within tight time constraints.
• Prepare internal memoranda and other materials to support investment recommendations.
• Monitor investments to communicate strategy and performance with existing and prospective investors.
