Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. is seeking an Analyst for the Secondary Private Capital Team in New York. The role provides exposure to valuation, financial modeling, portfolio transactions and investment committee memos.

Responsibilities include analyzing credit portfolios, supporting secondary transactions, preparing memos and presenting research findings. A BA/BS in a relevant field, 1–3 years’ experience and strong modeling skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, or secondaries.
• Strong accounting, financial analysis and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent communication skills – able to present complex information clearly.
• Must include GPA in resume.

Overview

Blackstone is a global alternative asset manager. The Analyst program provides a unique learning experience in secondary private capital, with exposure to valuation, financial modeling, portfolio transactions, and investment committee memos.

Responsibilities

• Conduct valuation analysis and financial modeling of credit portfolios and issuers across private credit asset classes.
• Assist in secondary LP portfolio transactions, GP‑led continuation funds, and structured deals.
• Prepare investment committee memos and support structuring and execution of investments.
• Perform research projects and present findings to the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, or secondaries.

Location & Format

On‑site presence required five days per week in the New York office.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: USD100,000–140,000, adjusted based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation includes discretionary bonuses, equity and incentive arrangements at the company’s discretion.
