Job summary

Briggs & Stratton is seeking a Credit Analyst in Milwaukee, WI to approve or decline credit limit requests while maximizing sales and cash flow. You will analyze financial data, perform ratio analysis, and maintain credit files for domestic and international accounts.

The role requires collaboration with A/R and Sales to mitigate risk and ensure timely reviews. The ideal candidate has a finance-related degree, 3+ years in credit or customer service, and strong Excel/SAP experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field OR equivalent education and experience.
  • At least three years of experience in the credit or customer service field.
  • Experience with MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Administer credit granting for a portfolio of domestic and/or international accounts.
  • Analyze and update customer credit files with financial data and credit bureau reports.
  • Investigate and analyze credit risk within established guidelines and authority.
  • Review existing customer files and ensure periodic credit reviews are completed on time.
  • Assist with over-limit requests and coordinate with A/R to resolve issues.
  • Partner with A/R staff to meet portfolio goals and mitigate bad debt risk.
  • Keep Sales and Credit management informed of credit issues.
  • Support management with routine administrative tasks and risk reviews.
