Plaid is seeking a Data Scientist for the Credit team in New York. You will apply quantitative analysis and credit expertise to help lenders optimize cash flow insights and underwriting decisions.

You will translate Plaid's data into recommendations, monitor model performance, and collaborate with data science, engineering, and GTM partners to drive business impact. You will own hands-on recommendations, improve customer adoption of Plaid Insights, and contribute to product direction through

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of industry experience in a financial services Data Science role.
• Deep familiarity with SQL and Python.
• Deep understanding of credit risk and underwriting models.
• Experience building and maintaining credit policies for lenders.

Responsibilities

• Deep-dive into model performance for clients and triage issues.
• Analyze Plaid's data to identify credit risk signals and build retrospectives.
• Create tailored recommendations based on data and insights.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and dashboards to monitor production models.
