Job summary
Finom is expanding across Europe and seeking a Credit Risk Manager to design and lead risk foundations for SME lending and credit card products. You will build the risk engine, collaborate with Product, ML & Data Science, and ensure 2LoD governance while aligning with EMI/PS4 standards.
The role offers exposure to launching a new credit card line, leading end-to-end risk, and shaping European SME lending with a data-driven approach.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in credit risk with SME lending and credit cards.
- Experience with automated underwriting and fintech risk models.
- Strong governance, policies and risk processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and improve Finom's Credit Risk engine to best-in-class status.
- Own end-to-end framework for cards: eligibility, underwriting, scoring, limits.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to embed risk in design from day one.
- Architect data strategy across multi-country data sources and signals.
- Build and own portfolio monitoring stack.
- Design and calibrate early warning indicators and monitoring.
- Act as 2LoD with robust origination, monitoring, and collections.
- Own risk policies, appetite frameworks, and reporting.
- Ensure alignment with EMI/PS4 and European standards.
