Job summary

Qualifications

• Active graduate student in Economics, Finance, Engineering or Business; graduation after Internship period.
• Fluency in English with working knowledge of another Bank language (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and research skills; familiarity with credit rating methodologies and reports is desirable.
• Experience with data visualization and financial data analysis tools.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Power Apps, SQL, and programming (VBA or Python).
• Enrolled in a graduate program as of the internship start date; must be available for full-time duration.
• First internship with the IDB Group; no prior staff or contractor relationship.

Responsibilities

• Support the credit team in conducting credit assessments and financial analyses.
• Research issuers, markets, and regulatory developments to inform risk assessments.
• Prepare clear credit reports, memoranda, and presentation materials.
• Source and analyze financial, market, and economic data for reporting.
• Contribute to the enhancement of analytical tools, dashboards, and data processes using Excel, Power BI, Power Apps, and internal platforms.
• Undertake other treasury credit risk analysis tasks as assigned by internship supervisor and senior team members.
