Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada’s Capital Markets division in New York seeks a Senior Credit Risk professional to manage sponsor fund relationships and support credit onboarding, risk assessment and documentation. You will engage with clients to gather due diligence materials and collaborate across Risk Solutions Group and Fund Finance to enable non-lending revenue opportunities.

Role requires understanding of credit risk, sponsor fund operations, ISDA/CSAs and related trading documentation.

Qualifications

• Understanding of credit risks with institutional clients incl. Private Equity, sponsor funds, and hedge funds.
• Knowledge of sponsor fund structures and operations.
• Understanding ISDA master agreements and CSAs, esp. credit terms.
• Basic understanding of FX and Rates products in sponsor fund relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support origination, onboarding, maintenance and management of credit relationships with sponsor funds and hedge funds.
• Perform due diligence by reviewing fund documents (PPMs, LPAs, Management Agreements).
• Collaborate with Fund Finance and Risk Solutions Group to explore non-lending revenue opportunities.
• Assist in risk assessment and onboarding through fund documentation and client information.
• Negotiate credit terms and prepare credit/trading line documentation for approvals.
