PayPal seeks a skilled corporate counsel in Scottsdale, AZ to support PayPal-branded US consumer credit products. You will advise teams on the end-to-end distribution and operation of credit products, including sales enablement and marketing, onboarding, servicing, issues and dispute resolution, and collections in a evolving regulatory landscape.

You will provide legal and regulatory guidance to enable business objectives while navigating complex compliance requirements across a global payments

Formación

• 5+ years relevant experience and a Juris doctorate degree OR any equivalent combination.
• Experience advising on consumer credit and lending, financial services, consumer protection, sales, contracts, and marketing.
• Strong knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to consumer credit and payments including UDAAP, EFTA/Reg. E, TILA/Reg. Z, GLBA/Reg. P, FCRA/Reg. V, FDCPA, ECOA/Reg. B, CAN-SPAM, TCPA.
• Experience supporting regulatory examinations and audits.
• Admission to a U.S. state bar and in good standing.
• Excellent drafting, writing, and communication skills.

• Provide specialized legal advice to enable business strategy while identifying and managing legal risk.
• Ensure awareness of and advise on compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Build partnerships with business counterparts to proactively identify legal risks and provide guidance.
• Identify, analyze, and advise on potential legal risks with mitigation options.
• Escalate complex issues to senior legal leadership as appropriate.
• Research and analyze new laws affecting global operations and assess impact.
• Manage legal matters through resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory developments and communicate implications.
