PayPal is seeking counsel to support its US consumer credit products. You will advise teams on end-to-end distribution, onboarding, servicing, dispute resolution, and collections for open- and closed-end consumer credit, providing legal and regulatory guidance in a complex framework.

The role emphasizes evolving financial services regulation, matters of first impression, and collaboration with partners to deliver compliant credit experiences.

Formación

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience or equivalent.
• Juris Doctorate degree required.
• Bar admission in good standing in a U.S. state.

Responsabilidades

• Provide specialized legal advice to enable business strategy while identifying and managing legal risk.
• Ensure awareness of and advise on compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Build partnerships with business counterparts to identify potential legal risks and provide guidance.
• Identify and advise on potential legal risks with mitigation options.
• Escalate complex issues to senior legal leadership as appropriate.
• Research and analyze new laws and regulatory guidance affecting global operations.
• Manage assigned legal matters through resolution with internal and external counsel as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of legal developments relevant to assigned areas.
