Job summary

Truist is seeking a Portfolio Manager to underwrite, manage, and monitor a portfolio of commercial and not-for-profit credit relationships. You will collaborate with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk Officers, and Analysts to evaluate risk, structure financing, and ensure policy compliance.

The role focuses on independent credit recommendations, renewals, and client service with cross-functional leadership across Coverage, Credit Risk, Product, Fulfillment, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• 5+ years of commercial credit underwriting, portfolio management, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial credit products, risk management and covenant analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end underwriting for commercial and not-for-profit credit relationships; coordinate with clients and partners.
• Manage portfolio performance, reviews, covenant compliance, and renewals; identify issues and remediation actions.
• Provide independent credit recommendations and support risk-informed decisions; mentor teammates as needed.
