Job summary

Optus Bank is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join our Credit Administration team. You will assess financial capacity and creditworthiness of borrowers, prepare memoranda, and support loan committee reviews.

The role requires deep financial analysis, portfolio management experience, and collaboration with loan officers and other departments to ensure compliant, timely credit decisions. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to risk assessment and covenant testing across the loan

Qualifications

5+ years of credit analysis experience in commercial lending.
Portfolio management or underwriting experience of at least 3 years.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Strong written and verbal communication; leadership capability.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Analyzes financial and industry data of borrowers to determine creditworthiness for new and renewal credit applications.
Prepares and interprets financial statement spreads; recommends loan structure and approvals/declinations.
Performs background investigations on borrowers and related parties for credit packages.
Provides written credit memoranda for Senior Credit Management and Loan Committee review.
