Job summary

Obra Institutional Credit (OIC), a unit of Obra Capital, Inc., seeks a Credit Operations Analyst for its New York City office. You will maintain our credit research platform, manage subscription access, and support operations while coordinating with the Montpelier office. This is a full-time role in NYC.

The position reports to the Head of Operations and requires 1–3 years in financial operations with solid math skills and attention to detail. Strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record and proficiency in math.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in financial operations or related field.
• Understanding of financial markets, credit instruments, and basic accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Run Daily Performance calculations and distribute to Analysts and Portfolio Managers.
• Bond and Loan trade allocations, trade affirmations, settlement of bond and loan trades, loan communications in ClearPar, distribution of Funding Memos to relevant parties.
• Assist with CLO trade settlement activities.
• Maintain SMA client’s portfolio activity including booking relevant transactions in internal systems.
• Distributing monthly statements.
• Processing relevant Corporate Actions and informing Portfolio Managers/Analysts involved.
• Assistance with monthly cash and asset reconciliation.
• Completing Monthly Best Executions.
• Assist with new SMA client onboarding and closing of accounts.
• Maintain office supply inventory, handle incoming mail, and direct incoming calls, visits and inquiries.
• Support various administrative and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
