Job summary

Low Income Investment Fund seeks a Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer to oversee all credit and portfolio risk management for LIIF’s national lending platform. Reporting to the President, the CCO will ensure a high-quality loan portfolio, sound risk management, and alignment with LIIF's mission and equity goals.

The role leads credit policy, underwriting standards, asset management, and the IRP framework, balancing growth with prudent risk management and community impact.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of experience in affordable housing finance, credit risk management, commercial lending, or related fields.
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams and leading through change.
• Strong understanding of community development finance and nonprofit finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee credit review and approval of all loan transactions in accordance with policy and delegated authority.
• Lead credit and lending policy development in consultation with senior leadership.
• Manage Internal Loan Committee and Lending Risk Committee processes and materials.
• Provide external perspective on market, regulatory and industry trends affecting loan originations and portfolio performance.
• Ensure alignment between credit decisions and LIIF's mission and risk tolerance.
• Foster a disciplined, committee-based credit decision culture with diverse perspectives.
• Drive continuous improvement of credit processes, underwriting standards, and portfolio management.
