Plaid is seeking a Model Governance Lead for Credit to own the governance program across Plaid’s Credit products. You will ensure models are conceptually sound, validated, documented, and fit for use, working with product, data science, and engineering teams.

You will independently assess model data, performance, and limitations, and drive remediation plans while advocating responsible ML practices in evolving credit scoring and insights capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and owning a model governance program.
• Experience in model validation, model risk management, model development, or Data Science.
• Deep knowledge of models built for credit purposes.
• Strong understanding of ML concepts and techniques like XGBoost and rigorous validation.
• Familiarity with newer modeling techniques such as foundation models and neural networks.

Responsabilités

• Own and execute Plaid’s Model Governance program for Credit products.
• Assess conceptual soundness, data, features, performance, and intended use of credit models.
• Identify weaknesses and translate findings into remediation plans.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to strengthen governance practices.
• Create clear, rigorous documentation for customers about Plaid’s Credit models.
