  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of CED’s financial operations and the credit process.
  • Participate in customer visits to understand client needs and build relationships.
  • Develop understanding of construction laws and their impact on the business.
  • Work on real projects and contribute to the credit department.
  • Collaborate with teams to support sound financial decisions across locations.
  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to assess risk in extending credit.
  • Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
  • Develop and implement credit risk management and policies.

Job description

The CED Credit Management Trainee program is designed to develop future leaders in financial management over the course of 12 to 24 months, trainees will work closely with experienced Credit Managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of financial management. Trainees will learn to balance risk and reward to maximize profitability while working alongside CED Managers. The program includes in-depth hands‑on exposure to CED’s financial processes, customer interactions, construction law, and strategic decision‑making across multiple locations. Upon successful completion, trainees will be positioned to relocate to take on the role of Credit Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of CED’s financial operations and the electrical wholesaling industry
  • Participate in customer visits to understand client needs and build relationships
  • Develop a thorough understanding of construction laws and their impact on the business • Work on real projects and make meaningful contributions to the credit department
  • Collaborate with different teams to ensure sound financial decisions across various locations
  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments
  • Develop and implement strategies for credit risk management and mitigation
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of credit policies and procedures
  • Develop payment plans and long‑term financial goals for customers, ensuring accountability through regular follow‑ups and maintaining open, constructive communication
  • Conduct periodic reviews of existing customer accounts to ensure compliance with credit terms
