Job summary

Simplot is seeking a Credit Manager to support the Credit function by maximizing sales quality, making sound credit decisions, collecting accounts timely, and enforcing policies and procedures. Remote role open to candidates in the United States, with up to 25% travel.

Eligible candidates reside in Tennessee or Mississippi. Bachelor’s degree required, with 5+ years related experience preferred in finance/credit, ideally with agricultural experience. Not Boise-based.

Qualifications

• 5+ years minimum related experience and/or training.
• Finance, credit and/or relative Ag experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes financial strengths/weaknesses of prospects and customers to determine credit eligibility.
• Maintains effective communication with a credit information network.
• Develops and manages collection procedures per credit policies.
• Manages collections, follows up on inquiries, negotiates with past-due accounts, refers accounts to agencies.
• Provides insight for updating the credit policy.
• Analyzes reserves for bad debt expense when assigned.
• Understands and implements Simplot's Credit Policy and Procedures.
• Assists in providing and interpreting credit information for management.
• Keeps informed of agricultural trends and practices.

Summary

This Credit Manager position will provide support to the Credit function and associated Simplot priorities by maximizing quality sales, making good credit decisions, collecting accounts timely, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Eligible candidates must be residing within the state of Tennesse or Mississippi . This position is not offered in Boise, ID at the Simplot Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzes financial strengths/weaknesses of prospective and existing customers determine eligibility for credit, financing, or related services.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication with a creditable information network.
• Develops, implements, and manages effective collection procedures in accordance with established credit policies.
• Manages collections process to ensure proper sending of follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and referral of accounts to collection agencies.
• Provides insight for the updating of the credit policy as to new concepts and procedures.
• Analyzes and recommends specific reserves for bad debt expense (when assigned).
• Understands, communicates, and implements Simplot's Credit Policy and Procedures.
• Assists in providing and interpreting credit information for management and others as required.
• Remains informed of agricultural trends, changes, and practices.

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
