Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a Credit Manager to strengthen our credit function and support sales with sound credit decisions, timely collections, and policy compliance. This role focuses on maximizing quality sales while maintaining financial discipline.

Based remotely in the United States, the position requires evaluating customer financials, implementing credit controls, and collaborating with teams to protect cash flow and enable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in finance, credit or ag.
• Finance, credit and/or relative Ag experience highly preferred.

• Analyzes financial strengths/weaknesses of customers to determine eligibility for credit, financing, or related services.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication with a credit information network.
• Develops, implements, and manages effective collection procedures according to credit policies.
• Manages collections process, follows up on inquiries, negotiates with past due accounts, and refers accounts to collection agencies.
• Provides insight for updating the credit policy with new concepts and procedures.
• Understands and implements Simplot's Credit Policy and Procedures.
• Assists in providing and interpreting credit information for management and others.

Summary

This Credit Manager position will provide support to the Credit function and associated Simplot priorities by maximizing quality sales, making good credit decisions, collecting accounts timely, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Eligible candidates must be residing within the state of Tennesse or Mississippi. This position is not offered in Boise, ID at the Simplot Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzes financial strengths/weaknesses of prospective and existing customers determine eligibility for credit, financing, or related services.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication with a creditable information network.
• Develops, implements, and manages effective collection procedures in accordance with established credit policies.
• Manages collections process to ensure proper sending of follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and referral of accounts to collection agencies.
• Provides insight for the updating of the credit policy as to new concepts and procedures.
• Analyzes and recommends specific reserves for bad debt expense (when assigned).
• Understands, communicates, and implements Simplot's Credit Policy and Procedures.
• Assists in providing and interpreting credit information for management and others as required.
• Remains informed of agricultural trends, changes, and practices.

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

• 5+ years minimum related experience and/or training
• Finance, credit and/or relative Ag experience highly preferred
