Job Description
The role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Manager to lead our credit department. The Credit Manager will oversee credit policies, manage risk, ensure compliance, and support business objectives. Responsibilities include managing credit services, analyzing credit data, and building strong client and stakeholder relationships.

What you’ll do
Primary Responsibilities
  • Design and implement credit policies aligned with company goals.
  • Review and update credit policies to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness via financial analysis and credit reports.
  • Approve or reject credit applications within delegated authority.
  • Monitor accounts for risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Set credit limits and terms for customers.
  • Prepare reports on credit performance, aging, exposures, and bad debts.
  • Review accounts regularly to identify risks.
  • Conduct training to improve team credit practices.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations to align credit decisions.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships for effective communication.
  • Work with third-party lenders on statements and reporting.
  • Process payments to lenders timely.
  • Act as primary contact for third-party lenders, resolving disputes.
  • Manage relationships with external credit vendors for quality and cost efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance.
What you need to know
Experience/Skills/Education

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years experience in credit review, with at least 2 in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, billing, and credit management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory standards.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually, based on education, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs.
